Nigerian music talent Wizkid has parted ways with telecommunications outfit Globacom (GLO), 16 months after teaming up with the teleco giant.
The ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner made the announcement on Friday, October 28, 2016 via his official Twitter account.
It is however unclear if he was dumped by the telecommunication company or he decided to leave ‘willingly’, but what remains clear is that he showered the company with encomium in his valedictory tweet on Twitter.
On twitter he wrote, “Officially no longer with GLO, it was nice working with the amazing people at the company, wish the company the best in the future.”
The company revealed that Timaya was made a Glo ambassador because of his success in the music industry and for being an inspiration to millions of Nigerian youths, especially in the South-South part of the country where he is popularly known as the Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa.
Wizkid’s announcement came on a day when dancehall star Timaya confirmed his new deal with GLO.
