Burna Boy's disregard for Intellectual Property (Screenshots of chat between his team and the artist)
November 26, 2016
The craziest thing you can do to a creative person is to use his work without paying for it or without giving him credits for his job or giving credits to someone else for what another creative did.
We love burna boy but that doesn't mean we have to support every single thing he does, like kicking his fans in the face, using people's works without paying them. NO! That's stealing and this time it's about to get him and his management into big trouble as the owner of the stage artwork he used at the Essence festival has decided to sue him and his team for intellectual property theft.
It's important that this rubbish stops. Which is why I'm publishing this. Disrespect for creative people's work shouldn't be tolerated in any form. Speak up against whoever does it to you, if/whenever it happens. Don't be silent.
